Florida Real Estate Commission and Realtors® Meet on Agent's Duties and Representation

Regulators and Realtors® are meeting to solve the confusion over client representation. According to the Commission, consumers are confused with the growing ways in which a real estate agent may represent the client. A Realtor® may represent the buyer, the seller, both buyer and seller or be just a transactional broker that represents no one.

Consumers must sign disclosure forms acknowledging they understand the representation format. Some commission members feel the system needs further clarification for the protection of the consumer.
